Do you mean the person that said they went to school with him and tweeted about it on a keyboard? That's everyone? Nothing I've seen has ever said he was atheist, not at all, and I'm sure you're going by the comments about the vids on youtube. Just read, which I think was from the same person, that said he had completely changed his views the year before too. Only in right-wing blog land though is anti-immigrants and anti-gov a liberal position.

I'm not even saying he was a right-winger either, the guys just fucking crazy, but there's one place where this type of rhetoric comes from too - which may have not even had an influence, but does contribute to the heated atmosphere and pure fear from people like this.

There was a young lady who was in a band with him that said that. There is a guy who called himself a "friend" who said that. There was a young lady who went to college with him who said that. And now, oddly enough a young man who says they are friends is claiming that the shooter has recently talked to him about the possibility of a sex change.

Yes it did. Several former classmates have talked about how he hated religion.

He also expresses his hatred of law enforcement and has posted about his enjoyment at watching flag burnings. Also at least one male and one female classmate described him as a "pothead".

I'm afraid what we have here is the all too common pot smoking, flag burning, cop hating, Communist Manifesto reading, atheistic, transvestite, right wing tea party nut-case......

I've read of one, maybe two (haven't looked at both names) that have claimed to have known him. One was a girl that said she went to HS with him and was tweeting about it and did say he was far left but kept saying that was years ago and she just knew him from HS...this is the other one who was a long time friend...

That was a ranting about currency and the gov. using "mind control" and his idea for a "new currency", never have I read about him being an atheist, only being critical of religion by some.

He also has ranted many times with returning the gold standard and such, still no proof of connection, but there's a certain pundit who never shuts up about that very thing.

I read the link. The friend talks about him becoming more unhinged. Says absolutely nothing about him changing his political leanings. In fact it mentions him making fun of a girl who wrote about the regret of having had an abortion.

Several people have mentioned his hatred of religion and more than one of those have called him an atheist.

He changed his views completely, from what they have said that they just used to talk about conspiracy theories and then he started to form wild views on the government and everything else - yes everything changed in that matter of time. And what? He made a joke about stapping a bomb to it or something, not saying "yay roe v. wade", that part was just showing his classroom antics and him being disturbed.

The whole white-supremacy thing isn't left leaning either, that's extreme far right along with several other views. So really ridiculous for anyone to say he's far-left, I do know he's to the center of batshit crazy.

A girl was reading a poem she wrote about the regret of abortion and was crying as she read on and he laughed at her and made fun of it. Your not being honest about the content despite it being right there.

I'm not sure how you came up with the white supremacy thing? Some have said he hated Jewish people but then Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton must be white supremacists too. If your talking about a "reported" tie to the American Renaissance, I believe that has now been discredited.

I hate to tell you this but bigotry isn't restricted to a political leaning.....but that's another thread.

Actually, I used to think that going back to the gold standard would be a good thing. Not any more though, too much has happened in the past 30 years for that to happen. It would create a war, the likes this planet has never known.
